Tatiana Fiodorova  was born, and is based, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.
Moldavian artist, curator, and educator works with questions of social and political history, particularly in relation to the Post-Soviet transition.
She was born and raised in Soviet Moldova but her formation as an artist happened in 2000s. Her artistic exploration focuses on the lost Soviet identity and formation of a new identity for a Moldovan woman facing social, political, and economic problems. Placed in the context of the development of market relations and of the emergence of the neoliberal economy and of contradictory and complex transformations lasting two decades, very often issues are related to local conflicts and problems in Moldova, such as the integration of Moldova into the European context and the problem of identity of Moldovan citizens.
She works with social practice, installation, live performance, public art, video and artists’ books, photography.
